Christmas too early a conspiracy?

I live in Michigan and Christmas came too early this year. Local radio station WNIC started playing 24 hour holiday music the week of Halloween. I don’t know about everyone else but this does not feel right. It made it feel like Thanksgiving disappeared this year. And as for Christmas sales most of the shoppers are not REALLY shopping for gifts they are shopping for themselves-the discounts. There are small riots for tech-gadgets, people camping out 48 hours ahead of sales (outside the stores). The whole way Christmas is being MARKETED feels like it is being CATEGORIZED. We don’t have a NICE big city with downtown department stores. With decorated Christmas windows on the storefronts-not like they do in New York and other cities. We did at one time. Is the way Christmas is being MARKETED exclusive to the Detroit area? By MARKETED i mean shaped/formed to fit the new millenium. The population during the holidays seems to get more hostile every year. Any though
