Don’t worry, calm down. I went there in August some time ago but I remember how everybody planned it. Here you go. August is a good time to go so good job on that. But for hotels you should stay on site so that you can enjoy special benefits that the parks have to offer. Example: Extra Magic Hours (go in the parks when others cannot), VIP passes (see things no one else can see), and unlimited access to the boats, buses, and monorails. I have some good resort that you can choose from and a couple of sites that you can use but be sure that you may have to take a few compromises. First you can stay at the New Orleans Square or Riverside but beware that these can get pretty crowded in the summer. But the theme is great and it is cheap on most sites. Secondly is the Pop century, a kid-like resort that is close to the exit to get to the watermarks, Downtown Disney and parks. Problem is that it may get crowded in late August. Now I don’t want to bore you with a long answer (whoops), but here are a few sites to find out more and to get cheap deals…
Hope I help to find the sites look below…

Check out for reliable discounted park tickets.
Cannot advise on hotels as we always stay in rented villas.

For Orlando Aqua Parks you can try DW Tickets or Florida Orlando Tickets and compare them to the following websites.
For Hotels you can try Priceline or DW Tickets.
Hope that helps and answers your question.

I suggest that you get your tickets from Orlando Fun Tickets at as far as hotels go, I suggest you book through Expdia for that.

I would get the Busch Gardens/Aquatica combo.
Busch is 90 minutes away and has the best thrill rides in Florida.
Aquatica is a brand new water park by Sea World.
Combo is good for unlimited visits for 14 days from first use.
You get also gt your Universal/Islands of Adventure on the cheap at

Depends on your budget. The WDW hotels are great to stay at but you’ll pay dearly. Hotels in the Village area are still close, but you’ll be taking shuttles around.
The other route would be renting a home or villa as they call them, you’ll have more room, a private pool and the option to eat-in instead of dining out all the time. Staying inside has the advantage of convience but staying nearby you could save a few bucks on dining and lodging.
An example would be we rent our home at $78 a night for a 4 bedroom home with a pool and gameroom, and there are many more like it around.
As far as water parks, Disney has some of the best and if you buy the park hopper plus the admission is included.
