Where to find the best deals in booking vacation to Vegas?
We’re looking to book a vacation to Vegas probably in April or May. I’m searching all sites online, expedia, orbtiz, priceline, travelocity, vacationoutlet, and there’s even like a vegas.com one that’ll give you deals but they still seem pricey compared to the deals you hear about others getting.. for 4 people from Boston, to MGM with 2 rooms it’s like $2k or a little more it seems, and that’s only for 3 nights, any suggestions on how to get the best rate, especially because I’d much rather stay at the Venetian or Bellagio?? Please tell me your Vegas experience, best place to book/stay and what’s a good amount of cash to bring, all the details!! Thanks

Here is a few more places you might consider looking
United Airlines Vacation and
Southwest Airlines Vacation
As far as getting the best rates, consider travelling on a week day and not a weekend. Also check the Vegas convention calendar to make sure there are no big events the week you plan to be there.
good luck

I do better when I contact the hotels and airlines directly, I seem to get a better rate. Especially the Hotels in vegas.

all your sites that you said above dont go to!!!
what you wanna do is go to lasvegas.com and look around at the different hotel and prices… then go to the official web site and book your room on line, you will always get a BETTER price!!
for air i would try southwest.com they have “wanna get away” deals for $59 to $99 one way.
if you want to stay at the Venetian or Ballagio i would go during to week . rooms will be around $250 or $300 a night!
i live in CA and i go to Vegas every other month

Venetian, Bellagio are high end casino hotels and the cost if higher. The best place to look for a deal is which is Channel 8’s site that includes deals and shows, etc. Prices, except on holidays, are best Monday through Thursday nights. Prices go up on Friday night year round.
If you are looking for the best deal then try Sahara (north end of Strip) or Tropicana Hotel (south end) or Imperial Palance. Circus Circus is in the middle and even has a manor (motel) but not fancy.
Remember you are not spending a great deal of time in your room so why get something fancy unless you want to walk right into the high end casino.
Don’t bring any more cash than you can afford to lose. Set a daily limit and when you reach that, walk away and go to the room or sightsee. The best advise I give to friends and family is to bring $1,000 and have an ATM card. You cannot cash a check in any casino but you could set up a line of credit ahead of time by contacting the casino and then sending the money for deposit, which could also get you the beginning of a rating and major discounts. But those usually require about $10,000 deposit.

We always stay at Excalibur because we can usually get it for around $60 a night and it’s on the best four corners in Vegas. I just booked our airline to Vegas in March from Louisville, and it came to $229 each person. Southwest runs $99 one way fares all the time, you just have to keep an eye on it. We are taking 5 people with one hotel room for 6 Days/5 nights for a total of $1300 for flight and hotel. The first link is a link to a site that shows an MGM Grand Promotion for buy 2 nights, get one free, it expires in April. I always book separately because I have never had any luck on the travel sites, they mark everything up a couple bucks to make their share, and they also don’t show southwest airlines which is the most inexpensive. If you want to stay at Bellagio or Venetian, that is going to cost you quite a bit, especially for 2 rooms, that might be over $1000 alone. The second link is a direct link to flights from Providence, RI (you can change that if you need to) to Las Vegas during the last week of April. The fares are as low as $94 there, and $109 back. For four people that is $936, plus the discount from MGM which is $368.42 (lowest room rate will be deducted upon check-in (this is the 3rd link below)) Your total for the trip would be $1304.42 for hotel and flight for four people. This is much better than $2,000! For five days, the five of us are bringing $2000 total. We always budget our vacation and it works out great. For 4 days, you won’t need as much, but to be safe, you might want to bring $500-$1000 each. Food is somewhat cheap in Vegas depending on where you go.
I love Vegas and go back every year. You will absolutely love it, and you will learn that no matter what hotel you stay in, you will still have the best time. You will be spending the least amount of time in bed!
Have Fun- and hope this helps. Remember to always book directly through the company, not on travel sites!
